Pink Lemon Mixed Color Firework Cut Cubic Zirconia

Cubic zirconia is a synthetic zirconia. In nature, zirconium's properties prevent it from forming in the cubic crystal system, so the cubic zirconia available on the market is essentially a synthetic product.

Pure zirconium dioxide crystallizes in the monoclinic system at room temperature. It transforms into the tetragonal system at 1170°C and into the cubic system at 2370°C. However, upon cooling from high temperatures, it reverts to the monoclinic system. This cooling process typically results in crystal fracture. Therefore, to prevent product destruction, appropriate stabilizers such as yttrium oxide or calcium oxide must be incorporated during production. This ensures the final product maintains relative stability even at room temperature.

To produce cubic zirconia, the following steps are required:

Precisely blend high-purity zirconium dioxide powder with yttrium oxide powder stabilizer (typically 8-10 mol%). Colorants can be added according to the desired final product hue. The mixture is then placed into a specialized crucible-a cup-shaped vessel composed of multiple parallel copper tubes. These hollow copper tubes are continuously cooled by circulating water.

A high-frequency coil is arranged around the crucible, through which a powerful high-frequency current is passed. The high-frequency electromagnetic field first heats and melts the metal igniter, potentially generating plasma, ultimately initiating the melting of the zirconium dioxide powder.

By precisely controlling power and cooling rates, the melt gradually cools and crystallizes from the bottom center upward and outward. This process enables the growth of large, high-quality CZ single crystal ingots.

After crystallization completes, the temperature is allowed to drop to room temperature. Once the solid outer shell is broken, the raw material for Cubic Zirconia is obtained.

To enhance the brilliance of cubic zirconia, we have used different cutting methods. We employ a fireworks cut to make its interior more captivating. We also apply a gemstone color coating process to the finished gem, primarily thanks to PVD technology. This allows you to see different gradient colors on a single stone, as shown in our pictures.
